1.) How do I register for Just Move It?
There are three different options for registration:
Option 1- Register as team captain and you'll have access
to invite other UAH friends/classmates/co-workers to join your specific
team. There are no size limitations; it could be a team of 2 or
20 or more. Email jmi@uah.edu to
request an email invitation.
Option 2- Register and join a general team of UAH students,
faculty or staff. With this option you may not know your teammates,
but you could make some new friends! Email jmi@uah.edu
to request an email invitation. See the
list of current JMI teams.
Option 3- If your friend or co-worker is already a team captain,
you can join their team. Ask them to send you the email invitation
for registration. See the list of current
JMI teams.
2.) How do I login to my account once I've completed
the online registration?
Log on to your account anytime by using the email and password
you set up during registration by visiting www.acsactiveforlife.org.
3.) Do I have to exercise at a certain time or
place?
No! Exercise is anywhere and any time that works for you.
4.) What are bonus points?
Bonus points will be awarded each week for various things and we'll
post announcements to let you know! One way to earn bonus points
is to attend our weekly wellness seminars.
Give yourself 30 bonus points for each seminar you attend!

5.) How many people can be on a team?
Teams can be any size: 2, 20 or more!
6.) Do teams have to exercise together?
No, some teammates may want to exercise together to stay motivated,
but it's not required.
7.) Are there any requirements for Just Move It?
We do ask that you log your minutes of exercise each week using
the online system. Other than that, just get out there and move
it! Set your own fitness goal to work towards.
8.) Why should I participate in Just Move It?
All participants get t-shirts!
Get motivated by having teammates to help you stay on track!
Get accountability by being part of a team that wants to win!
Opportunity to have a custom fitness assessment.
Entry into weekly wellness events on campus.

9.) Who can participate in Just Move It?
All students, faculty and staff are invited to participate.
10.) What are the benefits of being a team captain?
Team captains choose their teammates.
Team captains choose their team name.
Team captains may choose a team logo.
Team captains are eligible to win special prizes!
11.) What are the requirements of being a team
captain?
Any student, faculty or staff can be a team captain.
Team captains invite people to join their teams.
Team captains can be as involved as they want.
Team captains can plan special activities for their team if they
want!
Team captains are asked to help keep team members motivated.
12.) I am a team captain. How do I invite people
to join my team?
Once you are logged into your account go to "campaign tools,"
then "invite participants". From here you'll be able to
send the invitation email to many people all at once just by entering
emails and you can add a personal message if you like. *Note*
When you go to send the invitations, it might be good to choose
the "plain" text option instead of "html" under
email type.

13.) What happens once I'm on a team?
1. Just Move It: anywhere, anytime, and any place that works for
you!
2. Log into your account
each week and input your minutes of exercise.
3. Attend Wellness seminars each
week. (Optional)
4. Sign up for a free custom
fitness assessment if you like. Fitness assessments will be offered
the first week of February (2/4 to 2/8) and the following
tests are available: body fat, cardiovascular endurance, musular
strength, muscular endurance and flexibility. Call 824-6007 for
more information. (Optional)
14.) What prizes can I win?
All participants receive a Just Move It T-shirt!
Top overall team wins the President's Fitness Cup for the year and
TBD!
Top individual students win $100 and $50 giftcards!
Top individual faculty/staff win $100 and $50 giftcards!
Other prizes will also be given out at various JMI activities!
15.) What counts as exercise?
Just Move It in any way you wish, as long as you go for at least
10 continuous minutes and get your heart rate up as much as you
would during a brisk walk! Sorry, you can't count your walk to the
coffee pot, that is, unless it's 10 minutes away!
Examples of Physical Activity and Exercise: walking, jogging, swimming,
weight training, group exercise classes, sports, hiking, dancing,
martial arts, biking and more!
