Welcome

UAHuntsville has become mindful of the importance of timely and effective communications to students, faculty and staff during a time of crisis. The UAlert System is a comprehensive communications solution that allows the University to quickly disseminate an urgent message through multiple communication mediums including:

voice messages to cell, home and office phones
text messages to cell phones
email messages

The University of Alabama in Huntsville has chosen the Everbridge to provide critical notification services during emergencies and in routine business operations.

To register with the UAlert system, please click here.

Notice

We've made UAlert easier to use. To register, go to www.uah.edu/ualert and click on the register link. You will be asked to enter your email userid (ie xxx123) and your email password, then click enter.

On the Member Profile page, you will enter the methods you can be contacted by in the appropriate blocks. You must choose a number in the Emergency Priority pull down. A contact path with NA will not be called. Once you have completed entering your information, then accept the disclaimer and click save.

On February 24, 2009 at 10:00 a.m., The University of Alabama in Huntsville will conduct a test of the UAlert system. The test will have the system send text messages, emails, and phone messages to the devices you chose. The test will allow us to evaluate several components of the system and for users to become familiar in receiving emergency messages from the University.

We ask that whichever method you selected to receive the message that you confirm message receipt. This is accomplished by doing the following:

If you receive a text message, it will be from "89361". Upon receipt of the message, please reply with "YES" and send.

If you receive an email, it will be from "emergency@uah.edu. Please click on the link "Please click here to acknowledge receipt of this message"

If you receive a phone call, it will be from "2568246596". Please press "1" to receive the message. This will confirm receipt.

If you have not registered with UAlert, please look in your UAH email inbox for an email from Charles Gailes < membership@3nonline.net>. This email provides you the information needed to sign up for the UAlert system and allows you the opportunity to choose the methods UAH can contact you in case of an emergency.
