Posted Wednesday, November 21, 2007 9:35 AM It is time once more for the annual Hockey Road Trip to Niagara, NY! The dates of this year’s trip will be February 7-10, 2008. Please start making your plans for travel as soon as possible. The US Department of State now requires that all American citizens possess either a passport or a combination of one's drivers license and birth certificate in order to travel to and from Canada. Without a passport or other documentation, you will be required to stay in the American portion of the city. Information on obtaining a passport may be found online at
(http://travel.state.gov/passport/passport_1738.html)
Also, please be advised that the cost per student will be approximately $75.00 - $100.00 due to the increased costs of fuel and transportation. Tickets for this year’s trip will go on sale at the University Center Information Desk on January 14, 2008, at 9:00 am. Space is limited, and therefore only the first 80 students to purchase a ticket will be permitted to attend.
Due to budget shortfalls the Student Government is actively seeking donations from the Huntsville community to help off-set the cost of the trip per student. The more funds that are raised, the lower the cost per student will be. If you would like to assist with these efforts please contact the SGA at sga@email.uah.edu. Volunteering will consist of actively seeking small donations at home hockey games. Volunteers who assist with fundraising efforts will be granted priority in ticket sales.
Help support UAH Hockey and enjoy a brief vacation to Niagara Falls!
The Student Government Road Trip is a necessary part of anyone’s education at UAH!
