The Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico was an invited international competitor and the first school to proudly represent Mexico at the national level (2002).

UNAM placed twenty-fifth in the competition.  

The team's National Concrete Canoe Competition (NCCC) performance record stands as follows:
