"Laval Concrete Canoe Team"
Universite Laval

Universite Laval is located in Ste-Foy, Quebec in Canada.  They have appeared at the U.S. nationals eight times (1996, 1997, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, and 2009) and have won the Canadian National Concrete Canoe Competition eight times (1996, 1997, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, and 2005).

Laval qualified for the U.S. National Concrete Canoe Competition seven times as the Canadian National Champion.  The 2005 NCCC rules prohibited them from participating in 2005 but the team won the Canadian Nationals for the eighth time with a perfect 100/100 score.  In recent years (2009), the team proudly represented the New England Conference Conference.

Laval has has become a major contender at the national level.  They won the best product category twice (2001 and 2004) and have a very strong paddling team.  Their alumni started Concrete Canoe Magazine in 2006.  Laval has finished four times in the top five and six times in the top ten.  Their highest finish to date was second in 2002, 2003, and 2004.  In 2002, they were the only school to finish top five in all categories.
