The University of Illinois - Urbana is located in Urbana-Champaign, Illinois.  They have proudly represented the Great Lakes Conference six times at the national level (1991, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1996, and 2007).

Concrete canoeing originated at Illinois and the Backyard Yacht Club has been in business since 1971.  The team's highest finish to date was fourth in 1991.
