"University of Washington"

Presentation:

The University of Washington represented the Pacific Northwest and made their ninth national appearance.

Washington relied on 3 people to make their presentation; 2 men and 1 woman.  The presenters were dressed in business attire.  The team used 1 screen and included several animations.

The team began by describing the environment atWashington and began by outlining their goals.  They explained the project schedule and explained how they made improvements in their delivery by relying on their management team.

They explained how they used mentors and then went on to FEM analysis,  They covered the load cases considered and they found that the critical load occurred during the men's endurance race during the turn.  Then it was off to mix design.  

They explained how they used their binders, aggregates, and admixtures to meet the design specifications.  Then the team outlined their reinforcement scheme and explained how they produced their product.

The team outlined their construction approach and went through the process of placing inlays including quality control.  Finishing was also covered.  

Then the team outlined the innovative features of their entry and mentioned the efforts directed toward sustainability.  They elaborated on crew training before bringing their presentation to conclusion.

The presentation was good but the answers to questions were somewhat lengthy.
