"University of Alabama in Huntsville (Team UAH)"
(9th place overall; 9th in paper; 17th in presentation; 5th in product)

Presentation:

The University of Alabama in Huntsville represented the Southeast Conference and made their fifteenth national appearance.

Team UAH relied on 5 people to make their presentation; 2 men and 3 women.  The presenters were dressed business casual.  The team used 1 screen and did not include any videos.

The team began by pointing out that they had a diverse contingent that led to great success in the past.  But they noted that they needed to make changes in response to relatively poor performances of late.

The team explained their management scenario, recruitment process, and fundraising techniques.  Then they outlined the thought process underlying their hydrodynamic and structural designs.

The team explained how they strengthened the interfacial transition zone by adding constituents to their mix.  They mentioned that they achieved a high factor of safety and said that, except for cement, all of their binders and aggregates were composed of recyclable materials.

After explaining what they accomplished from a personal standpoint, the team brought their presentation to conclusion.
