(13th place overall; 7th in paper; 10th in presentation; 16th in product)

Presentation:

Ohio Northern University represented the North Central Conference and made their third national appearance.

Ohio Northern relied on 3 people to make their presentation; 2 men and 1 woman.  The presenters were dressed in formal attire.  The team used 1 screen and did not include any videos.

After giving a brief introduction, a team introduction was made.  The team began by describing project management followed by their analysis used to establish a critical service load.  They elaborated on the elements employed during the analysis and the loading cases considered.  They found that the critical stress occurred during the men’s endurance race.

Then it was on to mix design.  The team described their mix design process and elaborated on the constituents used in the final mix.  They described the chemical admixtures and free fibers used during the process.

The team described the method used to construct their form and canoe.  They elaborated on their reinforcing scheme and described the process for applying pre-stress.  Finishing details were given before the team elaborated on their innovations and sustainable practices.

The team mentioned the man hours spent on the project before bringing their presentation to conclusion.
