Vital Stats:

The United States Military Academy, located in West Point, New York, was the representative from the Upstate New York Region.  This was the team's fifth appearance at nationals.  Their highest finish to date was twelfth in 1995.

Canoe/Materials/Facts:

West Point's canoe was integrally colored - the concrete itself was black and was not painted.  It had an asymmetrical hull design - the maximum width was not in the center.  It had an integrally reinforced bulkhead at its maximum width.  It was constructed by spraying concrete onto a male mold.
