Canoe/Materials/Facts: The lnviscid Extreme was made from lightweight concrete that included Type III Portland Cement, glass beads, Microlite T, and polyester mesh reinforcement just to name a few ingredients. This canoe's uniqueness came from its extremely lightweight concrete at 38 lb/ft3. In laymen's terms, this means that a volume of this concrete will weigh approx 0.6 times the same volume of water. The hull design also incorporated a non-symmetrical shape that was similar to that of a racing canoe with the widest section moved back 60 percent from the bow. |
