Vital Stats:

The Colorado School of Mines is located in Goldon, Colorado and qualified for the competition as the 2000 host school.  This was their first year at nationals and their tenth place finish is CSM team's highest to date.  Top ten, first year, toughest competition to date - great job CSM!

Canoe/Materials/Facts:

The CSM canoe was constructed of concrete, fiber, mesh, primer and paint.  The design of the canoe was VERY unique.  This year the CSM team decided to experiment with an inverted keel and they reported that it worked GREAT!
