Aspire

UAH's Aspire program provides first year students with an opportunity to meet, learn from and network with student leaders, faculty and staff. Aspire members will learn about themselves and their leadership style, focus on strengthening leadership skills, and building relationships. Throughout this program, members will learn about ways to get involved in Student Life at UAH.

Criteria:

Aspire is designed to inform and increase the skills of first year students through interaction with campus administration, faculty and staff, consultants in the leadership field, student leaders and with fellow participants throughout the Spring semester. Application does not guarantee selection. Class size is up to 20 participants for each class (one class per year). Class member selection is based on the following criteria:

• Class Standing:  First-Year
• Diverse groups of emerging leaders
• High standards of personal integrity
• Demonstrated campus involvement or aspirations to become more involved
• Record of school and personal achievements
• Commitment of necessary time and effort to complete the program
• Representation from a cross-section of the campus population
