Student Experience Strategic Plan

Goal 1
Critical evaluation of existing practices and their effectiveness in support of the general mission.

Goal 2
Creation of a comprehensive collaborative model that would streamline processes, services and functions.

Goal 3
Establish university Focus Groups composed of administration, faculty, staff and students who will critically assess current and proposed practices.

Goal 4
Address and eliminate areas of duplication of services and resources.

Goal 5
Research, adopt and implement Best Practices.

Mission:

Through collaborative efforts between Enrollment and Admissions Services, Academic Affairs and Student Affairs to examine, optimize and create programs, policies, processes, procedures and resources that contribute to and positively enhance the student’s total university experience from initial contact through successful matriculation to employment and Alumni Relations.

Vision:

Our vision is to have processes that are as seamless as possible. To examine and continue to improve communication and collaborative support efforts across multiple interrelated offices, divisions, departments and colleges that contribute to the successful recruitment, retention, academic and personal development of students as they transition to employment and become world citizens.

Strategic Goals:

Summary

The right combination of best practices, after a thorough assessment of current processes, can result in better service to students, an increase in the quality and quantity of resources and hopefully a more engaged and satisfied student.

The institution must continue to work just as hard to keep an enrolled student as it did to recruit him or her. This task is the responsibility of each person at the institution—no matter the department.
