Goal 1
Grow research expenditures by 9% each year while diversifying sponsors and balancing fundamental and application-oriented research of the highest quality.

Enhance the convergence of sponsored research and academics.

Ensure that the university infrastructure has the capacity to support the anticipated growth in research expenditures.

Goal 2: Enhance the Convergence of Sponsored Research and Academics.

  • Initiative 2.A: Cooperatively work to advance areas of mutual interest to the academic and research enterprises.
  • Initiative 2.B: Strengthen the interaction between the academic organizations and the research enterprise.
  • Initiative 2.C: Identify and remove obstacles that deter the convergence of sponsored research and academics.
  • Initiative 2.D: Establish expectations for both faculty and research staff for support of both the academic and research missions of the university.
