Resources: The Observatory

The Observatory on Borderless Higher Education was originally a collaborative initiative with the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) and Universities UK. The Observatory’s mission is accomplished through extensive collaboration with global higher education, government, and private sector organizations that are key stakeholders in the global higher education arena. The Observatory is also committed to bringing together international faculty to conduct scholarly research in various areas of transnational higher education. The Observatory’s membership is comprised of 180 organizational members from over 55 countries.

The Observatory’s primary purpose is to provide strategic information to enable institutional leaders and policy makers to make informed decisions relevant to transnational higher education initiatives. The Observatory is also the source of multiple reports on international campuses, including good practice guidelines, affiliations with foreign backing, current models and trends.
