First Year Experience Program Staff

Dr. Carolyn Sanders, Professor of Music at UAHuntsville for 20 years, has been appointed as the Director of the First Year Experience Program.

In addition to her doctoral degree in music from Florida State University, she also holds a Master of Education in Counseling Psychology from the University of Missouri-Columbia, with a specialty in College Student Personnel Services.

As the first Director of this program, Dr. Sanders' mission is to establish the program and to set the direction for its continued growth and success, as measured by student retention and progression, in addition to overall enhancement of student excellence.
