Mission Statement

The First Year Experience Program at UAHuntsville is a means of providing foundational support for every student during the critical stage of transition from high school to college. In collaboration with other academic services and programs on campus, the program is a composite of courses and activities which serve to supply first-year students with essential tools proven to contribute significantly to student success and lifelong learning, both in academic and non-academic pursuits. Through engaging students in a variety of ways, the ultimate goal of the First Year Experience Program is to assist each student in maximizing academic, social, and career opportunities while at UAHuntsville.
