Project Success: Early Alert Referral Program

Every fall and spring semester the Student Success Center initiates Project Success. During the first 4 weeks of the semester, this program provides early intervention and academic coaching to students who have been referred by an instructor as having difficulty in a particular class. Students work one-on-one with a professional academic coach on issues such as learning style assessment, time management, and study skills. 

We recommend you speak to your student first, if the issue is not resolved submit an online referral.

Please refer students who exhibit the following:

• Excessive absences within the first four weeks of the semester
• Need assistance with study skills
• Ask where they can receive academic assistance

Once we receive the referral we will contact the student to provide academic support and assistance. When a referred student meets with an academic coach, a status update will be emailed to the instructor within the week.

Referral Deadline: Referrals need to be made by September 20, 2013. After this date no more referrals will be accepted online or by email. If instructors are concerned about a student after September 20th, they should encourage the student to come meet with an academic coach.
