Integrable Discretizations and Soliton Solution of KdV and mKdV Equations

Abstract

A method of discretization soliton equations is presented. The method is based on the bilinear formalism. From the bilinear forms of the KdV equation and the mKdV equation, we can obtain kinds of new bilinear forms through properly substituting the hyperbolic operator into the Hirota operator. Meanwhile we can get the soliton solutions of these new equations by the Hirota method.
