Abstract

The study of Fourier transforms with only real zeros has significant impacts in combinatorics, analysis and probability. We will provide several examples to demonstrate the usefulness in probability. In particular, we will present recent joint work with Y. Leung and Rakesh on the spectral analysis of Brownian motion with jump boundary.
