Abstract
This talk will focus on questions at the intersection of dynamical systems and probability. A factor map is a function which takes one measurable dynamical system to another. Factors are one of the central objects in ergodic theory. In probability, ideas about couplings and stochastic domination have been widely used in areas like percolation theory. We will discuss both of these concepts, combine them in the notion of a monotone factor, and give results about the existence of such monotone factors.
