  • B.A. in Mathematics from Rhodes College
  • M.S. and Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from UAHuntsville with an area of concentration in Graph Theory and Design and Analysis of Algorithms.

Professional Experience

  • Lecturer, UAHuntsville since 1996
  • Course coordinator for MA 112 Precalculus Algebra. Responsible for all GTA’s teaching MA 112. I develop all graded assignments for the course as well as supervise all use of the Math Learning Center, located in LIB 205.
  • Developed and currently teaching Honors Calculus courses in the department. I researched and developed a curriculum for teaching Honors Calculus in order to provide an more exploratory approach to Calculus.
  • Other courses taught include Linear Algebra, Probability, Statistics, Foundations of Mathematics, Abstract Algebra and Real Analysis
  • Partnered with all FYE instructors in the College of Science and created a module called “How to Succeed in Mathematics Courses”  Click Here for the Materials: 
  • Committed to integrating technology in the classroom by using MyMathLab, recording class lectures on Panopto, Canvas, Clicker Technology, Maple and others.

I am married to Greg Johnson and we have three sons. When I’m not doing school work, I love to cook, go to swim meets, and volunteer in the community.
