UAH-ACS is a local student American Chemical Society Chapter at University of Alabama in Huntsville. We are dedicated to providing all students with an exposure to the fascinating world of chemistry through community outreach, from performing demonstrations for younger audiences to talking about our own decision to pursue a career in chemistry. UAH-ACS is also dedicated to providing professional learning opportunities for our student members through organizing student groups to attend national and regional ACS conferences and organizing speakers to visit UAH.
The group was founded in April 2012 by six like-minded biochemistry, chemistry management, and chemical engineering majors. Please visit uahacs.wordpress.com for more information about the group, our officers, and upcoming meeting and events. Email the current student chapter president Christina at firstname.lastname@example.org, or come to our open meetings to sign up to be a member, or just to learn more. Whether you are a member of a student group that would like to work with us for an event, a chemistry company representative that would like to provide opportunities for the UAH-ACS chapter, or student undecided about your major, feel free to contact us anytime at email@example.com.
