Astronomy Club is a dynamic organization devoted to the study of the universe in all it's wonder. With a goal to inspire and assist students possesing a passion for astronomy, star gazing is a part of every meeting (weather permitting).
The Chemistry Club represents UAH, their chemistry department, promotes interest in chemistry and chemical sciences to students of all backgrounds.
The Earth Science Student Association (ESSA) is an organization of undergraduate and graduate students in the University of Alabama in Huntsville. ESSA facilitates students' participation in activities related to the Earth System Science program, promotes cohesion among the ESS student body, stimulates their commitment to community outreach, and encourages student initiatives that provide professional development opportunities. While ESSA receives support from the ESS program, our association is open to any and all UAH students interested in earth systems science, social-ecological interactions, environmental education and outreach, community service/volunteer activities, and more.
The Space Hardware Club is a University of Alabama in Huntsville student organization. The club is student run and is strictly volunteer. We conceptualize, design, build, test and fly flight hardware for high altitude balloons, the CubeSat platform, and the CanSat competition.
The Apollo Project is a student-led organization devoted to learning through experience. The Project has chosen to design and construct an Apollo flight simulator, much like the ones that NASA used to train the astronauts for the Apollo Program. The design contains a mobile graphical interface as well as a physical simulator capsule complete with 14 control panels and three viewing windows with visual rendering. The organization wants to build a community that crosses the borders between scientist, engineer, mathematician, and writer, building relationships and understandings that better equip our students for their future in America’s workforce.
The Math Club is an organization that hosts academic talks on various mathematics topics. The organization hosts Pi Day every spring, and is active with the Alabama Credit Union's program, Secret Meals for Hungry Children.
The UAH AMS is a student organization aimed at stimulating awareness and interest in meteorology and our chapter's activities within the University and the surrounding community, promoting the professional development of our members, and encouraging the growth and sharing of the meteorological science. All UAH students with a passion for the weather are welcomed and encouraged to join.
UAH Volunteer Moonbuggy Team provides students of any major or level the opportunity to participate in the NASA Great Moonbuggy Race. Members of the team will design, build, test, and race the buggy themselves.
UAH Biological Society
BioSoc is a reorganized and restructured version of the existing University of Alabama Biology Club. The organization exists to serve the many needs of the students on campus, in pursuit of higher learning, especially those enrolled in Biology courses.
The College of Science also has Science Ambassadors. These students, some of our best across the departments, work with the Dean's Office to promote science and science education inside and outside the university.
