Degrees

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, DVM

There are 29 veterinary schools in the US.  The DVM is 4 year professional degree. Not all schools require a Bachelor's degree, however all have a minimum number of credit hours to achieve before being accepted. Students must pass the North American Veterinary Licensing Exam (NAVLE).  Most states require an extra licensing exam.

Most schools have a minimum GPA of a 3.0, but to be a competitive student, we recommend a 3.5+ cumulative GPA.
