The UAH Rise School provides the highest quality of early childhood education services to children with developmental disabilities and children without disabilities. This program provides children 9 months up to 6 years of age with a firm foundation for their next educational experience. Children are grouped according to their age and individual needs in an integrated environment containing a diverse range of abilities.

The Rise Program originated at the University of Alabama in the 1970s. Since then, 7 schools have opened across the nation implementing the unique proven model of an “integrated environment.” The program provides a multi-disciplinary service approach through the integration of speech, occupational, physical therapies, and music into the curriculum.
