The student will learn: (1) the procedure to evaluate system requirements and design configuration to identify the design and mission critical parts that are technically and economically feasible for empirical reliability investigation, (2) the reliability analysis methods to design reliability failure experiments and fit empirical data to part reliability functions, and (3) the algorithmic and simulation characterization of deterministic and distributed part reliability functions.
