Dr. Emmanuel E. Obuah has taught courses on international relations comparative politics,, international political economy, and politics of Africa and the Middle East. His research agenda focuses on numerous issues related to sub-Saharan politics of Africa, including international trade, Somali piracy, corruption and civil society in Nigeria, the dynamics of Sino-Africa relations, human trafficking, and oil exploration and regional development.
