The University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) is working in compliance with the University of Alabama System Health and Safety guidelines to ensure all faculty, staff and students wear face coverings (masks, face shields, or both) as a Barrier Protection to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
These face coverings must be worn in classrooms, conference rooms, shared workspace/rooms and the common areas in buildings. This precaution is particularly important in labs, communal office space, on-campus gatherings or in any campus setting where social distancing is difficult to maintain.
A covering or barrier should be worn in areas such as hallways, bathrooms and break areas, including greenway and other open spaces when walking with others, as well. These precautions support the Madison County Health Office order regarding the use of face coverings, which takes effect on July 7 at 5 p.m.
