Building a Foundation in Interior Design

Build the foundation for an in-depth study of the interior design field with an introduction to basic design principles. You will learn about furniture arrangement and selection, elements of basic color schemes and the color wheel, window treatments, accessory application, lighting, floor coverings and the use of interior materials. Your experience includes two field trips. During the first field trip you will learn in depth about paint applications. The second trip offers you information about the newest and latest styles in carpet, tile and cabinets. Apply your new found knowledge by designing a room of your own.
