Modeling and Simulation of Radar Systems

This course provides MATLAB and Excel implementations of many equations and concepts explored in the introductory course. The programs that participants will develop and use provide a strong foundation for further radar modeling and simulation. Examples include simulations that demonstrate the operation of monopulse trackers and various types of target tracking algorithms.

    Topics Include:
  • Radar range equation
  • Detection probability calculation
  • Clutter model generation routines
  • Ambiguity function generation

Prerequisites:
Fundamental Concepts in Radar Systems or equivalent experience Principles of Radar Technology or equivalent experience
