Receive an introduction to MATLAB and Simulink in one course. Learn the basics of these two powerful, integrated computing tools through hands-on lab and problem-solving exercises. MATLAB is an excellent tool for rapidly solving a wide array of analytical problems such as linear algebraic equations, matrix operations, and differential equations. Simulink is an extension of MATLAB and is an extremely powerful tool for modeling and simulating dynamic systems. Both provide a technical computing environment used by engineers, scientists, mathematicians, and financial analysts. It is easy to switch back and forth between MATLAB and Simulink during the analysis process so that the user can take full advantage of features offered in both environments. They are excellent tools for 2-D and 3-D data visualization and allow movies of dynamic processes to be made.
