Outreach reporting of continuing education activity encompasses non-credit educational programs purposefully and deliberately initiated, planned, organized or hosted by a University academic or business unit. SACSCOC Principles of Accreditation 3.4.2 requires a well-defined administrative structure for the reporting and record-keeping process of non-credit continuing education programs and activities sponsored by the University. UAH's campus-wide system centralizes the documentation and reporting of all non-credit UAH Outreach activities through the College of Professional and Continuing Studies (PCS). Programs seeking to improve work-related skills, provide personal learning enrichment, support community or economic development, or encourage civic engagement are recognized as continuing education activities. All programs must be consistent with the institution's mission and vision. Formats may include but are not limited to: Classroom instruction, online learning, conferences, workshops, symposiums, and lectures. Each sponsoring college, department, or business unit should complete a Program/Activity Reporting Form for each activity and submit to the College of Professional and Continuing Studies (PCS) each term. As an ongoing process, a designated individual within each area should be responsible for submitting the required forms and documents. The PCS Non-Credit Registration Office is available to provide assistance in completing forms, identifying which programs to report, or answering any questions. Contact Rita Campbell at 256.824.2808 or Rita.Campbell@uah.edu for assistance. Additional links on the left provide access to the required forms and more detailed information on the UAH policy, reporting process and categories.
