Orientation Preparation Checklist

  • Submit your immunization form to the Student Health Center prior to attending your orientation program.  For questions, contact (256) 824-6775.
  • If you have questions regarding placement tests, contact the Office of New Student Programs at (256) 824-6247.
  • Make sure the University has received all your transcripts or transfer credit information from all previous institutions (including Advanced Placement and CLEP courses).  We encourage you to bring copies of any information (unofficial transcripts) that will help with review of your transfer courses during your advising and registration session.
  • Make arrangements to attend your entire orientation program in order to register for classes on Day Two.
  • Bring your BANNER (student) ID number.  Photo identification is needed for those taking placement test(s).  Also, you may bring a calculator to use during Chemistry Placement.
  • If you need to change your address, go to Charger Central in Room 118 of the University Center.
  • Begin thinking about the classes you would like to take.  You can review the course listings at http://www.uah.edu/cgi-bin/schedule.
