Orientation is a program that will help prepare you for the personal, social, and academic changes ahead. Rest assured, Orientation will help make your transition to UAH as smooth as possible. We also realize you are not alone in this transition. That's why we created a custom program for your parents and guests that runs concurrent with the student Orientation program. At Orientation you will: Meet with your academic advisor to discuss expectations and register for classes. Learn more about your new home from Housing Get your Charger Card (Student ID) Discover tools to enable your academic success at UAH Complete needed immunization forms with our Student Health Center Explore opportunities to get involved on campus Learn about the campus and traditions Meet and socialize with current and new students STEP 1: DECIDE YOUR ORIENTATION DATE All first-time freshmen are required to attend an Orientation session. Please keep in mind all sessions are filled on a first-come, first-served basis by academic major. Changes in your selected Orientation date need to be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org. Spring Orientation Dates: Thursday, November 17, 2016 Thursday, January 5, 2017 *Note: These dates are for students planning to attend for the spring 2017 semester. Summer and fall 2017 dates will be announced in the spring. STEP 2: REGISTER FOR ORIENTATION Students and guests can register for Orientation below. The cost of Orientation for spring entry students is $50. This fee will be charged to each student's account along with their tuition and student fees. Student accounts should be paid by the first day of class each semester. The cost for each family member or guest to attend is $25 and can be paid through online registration. Online registration and fees are not required for guests under 18 years of age. Please note that Orienation fees are non-refundable.
