The Office for Operational Excellence provides continuous improvement support to the Department of Energy and Y-12 National Security Complex. OOE experts have assisted Y-12 in transforming the models, methods and processes used to deliver products and services to reduce costs and improve productivity while meeting schedule and quality commitments. The OOE staff enabled the enhancement of the continuous improvement culture through facilitation and support of lean rapid improvement events (RIE), RIE facilitator training, facilitator development and coaching, and strategic lean deployment planning.
