OIT User Services Portal

The OIT User Services portal is a tool that allows you to change your Charger ID password and/or your Google Apps password. It also has a tool to reset your Charger ID password using your A-Number and PIN. The OIT User Services portal makes it possible to use one password for your Charger ID account (used to sign into ANGEL, myUAH, Cisco NAC, Google Apps, and Wireless) and then use a different password for your Google Apps account. Follow the steps below to reset/change your Charger ID password.

If you know your password...

  1. Visit the OIT User Services portal.
  2. In the top two boxes, enter your Charger ID and your password.
  3. Click Login.
  4. Click the My Password(s) tab.
  5. Enter a new password (and repeat/confirm it).
  6. Click check boxes for both systems or just one to create different passwords for your Charger ID and Google.
  7. Click Change now.

If you forgot your password...

  1. Visit the OIT User Services portal.
  2. Enter your A-Number and PIN in the bottom two boxes.
  3. Click on Reset my Charger password. * Note: Resetting your password here sets the new value as a random string (not the default password), and your change will not apply to your email account.
  4. Click OK when prompted.
  5. Your Charger ID and password will auto-fill in the top boxes.
  6. Click Log-in.
  7. Click the "Change my password(s)" button.
  8. Enter a new password (and repeat/confirm it).
  9. Click check boxes for both systems or just one to create different passwords for your Charger ID and Google.
  10. Click Change now.

If you forgot your Charger ID...

  1. Visit the OIT User Services portal.
  2. Enter your A-Number and PIN in the bottom two boxes.
  3. Click Find my Charger ID.
  4. Your Charger ID will automatically populate the top box.

If you need to reset your Google Apps password...

  1. Visit the OIT User Services portal.
  2. In the top two boxes, enter your Charger ID and your password.
  3. Click Login.
  4. Click Google in the top menu.
  5. Click the Activation/Password reset tab.
  6. Click the Account Activation/Password Reset button.
  7. Your password will be set back to the same as your Charger ID password.

If you need to request a change to your directory information...

* Note this option is only available to faculty and staff.

  1. Navigate to the OIT User Services portal.
  2. Login with your Charger ID and password.
  3. Once logged in, navigate to the Directory tab.
  4. Edit the desired information in the space provided.
    • Note: Changing your preferred name listing does not change your official UAH email or Banner names, only the way your information is listed on UAH directories. In UAH's online directory, your preferred name will appear in quotes (Joseph "Joe" Charger). In the Google directory only your preferred name will appear (Joe Charger).
  5. Select Submit request to Human Resources.
  6. Accept the terms in the popup windows to confirm your request.
    • Note: Your request will be sent to HR for approval. Therefore, your directory information will not change immediately.
  7. Before exiting the OIT User Services portal, Logout at the top of the screen.
  8. Once HR approves your change request, your directory information will be altered. this change will impact your directory information on the UAH website as well as the directory information in UAH Google Apps. The newly updated information may take up to 24 hours after approval to take effect on these services.
