Overview All personal computers and laptops owned by the University or operated by employees of the University are eligible for backup and restore services provided by OIT. Any files you choose to back up will be encrypted and securely stored on a server that is off campus (in the cloud). You can restore files yourself without having to contact OIT; however, the OIT Help Desk can assist you if needed.

 Once a small and easy-to-use software client is installed, files and folders that you select are backed up whenever the computer is connected to the Internet. You do not need to remember to initiate a backup; it happens continuously and automatically.
