Anthony J. Edmondson is a recipient of the 2016 Staff Excellence Award. He began working at The University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) in fall 2008, as a Research Program Coordinator I in the Propulsion Research Center (PRC).

As the PRC's Program Administrator, Edmondson works with Principal Investigators (faculty/staff), graduate and undergraduate students, providing management and guidance in all non-scientific aspects of PRC operations. "I am their liaison to several departments at UAH including the Office of Sponsored Programs, C&G Accounting, Human Resources, and Payroll to name a few. I am blessed to be able to help resolve challenges that impact the lives of other people on a daily basis," Edmondson said.

He wouldn't spill the beans on employee fun in the PRC, saying only, "what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas."

Edmondson said he is "thankful" the Staff Excellence Award exists at UAH. "I hope it continues and expands for other employees who contribute to making everyone better employees at UAH. I have nothing but love and appreciation towards the staff members that nominated me and those who have contributed to my success at UAH."

Edmondson relaxes by spending time with friends and family, traveling, listening to music, volunteering and cooking.

The UAH Staff Awards are presented annually by The University of Alabama in Huntsville Foundation.
