UAH's United Way campaign kicks off with $55,000 goal

The University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) kicks off its United Way (UW) campaign this week with a goal of raising $55,000 for local partner agencies.

The university's 2015 UW campaign officially kicks off with a meeting for coordinators on Thursday, Sept. 24, at 1 p.m., in the Shelby Center for Science and Technology room 107.

Connie Brand and Lisa Rivers from the UAH Department of Human Resources will coordinate the campus wide event this year.  The meeting will include representatives from the Harris Home for Children, and Hospice Family Cares, along with a few surprises.  The UAH campaign will close in November.

Special prizes for the 2015 United Way campaign include:

  • Free 2016 Parking Pass
  • Greatest increase in faculty/staff participation prize
  • Largest percentage increase in donations prize
  • Most creative way to raise money prize
