Jason Greene named Dean of the UAH College of Business Administration

Jason Greene has been named Dean of The University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) College of Business Administration. He begins his duties on July 18.

"Dr. Greene has numerous distinctions and achievements and brings a wealth of experience in leadership and administration, research, scholarship, and teaching. Please join me in welcoming Dr. Greene as the new Dean of the College of Business Administration at UAH," said Dr. Christine Curtis, Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs.

Greene currently serves as Interim Dean of the College of Business and the Henry J. Rehn Professor of Finance at Southern Illinois University (SIU). Prior to his appointment at SIU, Greene held positions of Professor of Finance at SIU, and Vice President and Senior Investment Officer of Intech Investment Management in West Palm Beach Florida. He also served as Associate Professor of Finance at Georgia State University.

Greene's research focuses on financial markets and portfolio management, including the examination of mutual funds, mutual fund flows, trading costs, and market liquidity. Additionally, his research has been cited in numerous nationally distributed newspapers and financial magazines including The New York Times, USA Today, The Wall Street Journal, and The Financial Times (London). Greene has appeared on CNBC's PowerLunch.

He is the author of A Note on the Sources of Portfolio Returns: Underlying Stock Returns and the Excess Growth Rate (2014), and the co-author of Capacity and Factor Timing Effects in Active Portfolio Management (2010).

Greene earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Mathematics from Rhodes College, and a PhD in Finance from The Indiana University Kelley School of Business.
