The Department of Music at The University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) is pleased to announce the launch of the Faculty Exchange Recital Series, sponsored by Dr. Stan and Alice Trimbles. The inaugural concert, featuring Dr. Melody Ng of UAH and Dr. Wendy Freeland of Jacksonville State University, is free and open to the public and will take place at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 27, in Roberts Recital Hall on the UAH campus.

"We are very excited to be performing at the premier concert of this new series," says Dr. Ng. "The genesis of this series came from the Trimbles, who are enthusiastic supporters of artistic collaborations between faculty of different universities."

Drs. Freeland and Ng will be playing a repertoire that includes "Fantasy in F Minor," by Franz Schubert; "Suite No. 2 for Two Pianos," by Sergei Rachmaninoff; and selections from "Eight Nocturnes," by Francis Poulenc.

In conjunction with the concert, Dr. Freeland will also be conducting a piano master class at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 28, in Roberts Recital Hall.
