UAH Department of World Languages and Cultures hosts Multi-Media Center Grand Opening

On Monday, Sept. 22, The University of Alabama in Huntsville's (UAH) Department of World Languages and Cultures (located in the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences) celebrated the grand opening of the Foreign Languages Multi-Media Center (MMC).

The cutting-edge center, located in Morton Hall room 300, is equipped with 12 computer stations, and combines online foreign language study, tutoring (in collaboration with the Student Success Center), space for self-study and group study, as well as foreign language club activities.

The MMC also has a large DVD and VHS film library in various languages (updates will occur periodically). And, special TV equipment for screening foreign film formats. Spanish lecturer, Karl Keller director of the MMC, and staff assistant, Donna Lamp, will collaboratively oversee center operation.

The Center is a major addition to the Department of World Languages and Cultures and will greatly facilitate studies across campus.
