The guitar preamp is a device which allows any guitarist to practice an electric guitar without disturbing others. The device has a headphone output for so you can hear the guitar. The device is about the size of generally most FX pedals and has a metal case to protect the circuit board. It also uses a nine volt battery for power. The device receives the signal from the guitar through an RCA input.

The Assembly was quite easy. The resistors were taped together in the order of their placement. The directions were very clear on where things went. After completing it's assembly I gave it a test. I previously thought I might have mounted the IC socket incorrectly. I Actually mounted that correctly but reversed the positive and negative wires for the battery. After fixing that problem I tried again and had no success. I attempted some resoldering and came up with the same results.
Despite that it did not function I enjoyed building it.
