For my music technology project, I built a music box circuit. It can be placed inside of a box, cabinet, or any other place with a lid, and since the circuit has a light sensor, whenever the lid is opened, the music box will play a song.
Components:
6R8 Resistor
33K Resistor
68K Resistor
100K Resistor
330K Resistor
4.7uF Capacitor
100uF Capacitor
68nF Ceramic Capacitor
2-pin header
Jumpers
Mini push-on switch
LDR
16-pin IC socket
M3481 music IC
M3485 music IC
BC548
BC558
Kit 104 PCB
3V battery snap
8-ohm speaker

This
circuit was tricky to solder since all of the connections are very close
together. It was difficult not to have any bridges. The kit came with two chips
that contained two different sets of music on it. The first has Hawaiian Wedding Song, Try to Remember, Aloha
Oe, and Love Story & Yesterday on it, and the
second has Christmas songs. There are also jumpers that allow the options of
either playing one song and stopping, or playing continuously until the circuit
is placed in the dark. Below is a picture of the completed circuit board.
