World Beat, an exploratory music appreciation program for high school and college students, presents textual descriptions of over 150 different styles of music from around the world. Fifty of these presentations also include audio or video clips. Additionally, the CD-ROM includes the complete text of Music of Many Cultures and three narrated documentaries covering African, Asian, and Latin American music. Also interesting is the Music Studio, which shows printed notation of short excerpts in many of the styles.
