Musicstar Private Lessons is one of four software components in the Musicstar Music System. Also included in the package are a 37-key miniature MIDI keyboard controller and a MIDI cable to connect to a PC joystick port. The other three software components are reviewed separately. This program, designed for elementary and middle school students, offers instruction in an assortment of piano melodies. Each melody is demonstrated, then practiced, one phrase at a time. After all phrases have been learned, the student has an opportunity to perform the melody with the computer providing an accompaniment.
