Also designed for elementary and middle school students, Music Ace Doodle Pad, which is available separately but is also included with Music Ace, allows a student to compose music by dragging different sized notes onto a grand staff. Six different MIDI instrument sounds are available, each represented by a different color. While being dragged, the notes produce a sustained sound that changes as the note is moved higher or lower. At the same time, the note has a balloon that identifies its pitch and the keyboard on the bottom of the screen shows where the pitch lies on the keyboard. Music created in Doodle Pad can be saved.
