Music Ace 2 is identical in format to Music Ace, but is designed for slightly older children in elementary or middle school. The twenty-four lessons cover introductory music theory and ear training, with a game that reinforces each lesson. The material covered includes tempos, rhythms, note names, key signatures, melody shapes, minor scales, intervals, and an Introduction to Harmony, in which the student identifies whether the chord is the same or different. All student interaction can accomplished with the mouse, with the option of connecting a MIDI keyboard for some of the exercises in which the student would otherwise click on the keyboard on the screen.
